Forlan Welsh Cream and foal Floreat Bourbon Cream
Sarah bought Welsh section C mare Forlan Welsh Cream assuming she was a cremello, but when the foals arrived she changed her mind! Welsh Cream had three dark buckskins foals and three foals who all looked like non dilute liver chestnut. All six foals were by the same chestnut stallion! Sarah realised that Welsh Cream is in fact a perlino and the “liver” foals are most probably dilute blacks (smokey black). Many thanks to Sarah for sharing this photo, and her story, with me!
